Established in 1989, West Gallery was conceived to provide an art space for promising, young artists to explore and hone their skills further. That has always been the vision of the gallery, and, today, with three exhibit halls to showcase a diverse pool of Filipino artistry, it continues to keep an eye on fresh talent.
Now regularly featuring as many as three different exhibits simultaneously every month, West Gallery aims to draw more viewers and encourage art collection among a growing breed of art patrons. While the gallery has since moved away from the malls, after briefly creating a presence in the 1990s, it remains to be committed to recognize contemporary Filipino visual artists by giving them a venue where they could proudly present their paintings, drawings, sculptures, installations, and prints.
Westgallery.org, which offers a preview of the featured artists’ works and upcoming exhibits, hopes to reach and win over more art enthusiasts, not only within the Philippines but the world over.
