Artist’s Statement
This series is an adult take on child role-playing. Children used toys as tools to act out their fantasies about everyday adult life. It’s a make believe world where life is uncomplicated, defined simply by roles.
To further expand the concept, give it a twist, I reversed the role-playing situation. Thus, originally intended as an innocent fairy tale turns to a horror story as I , acting as an adult inject/project malice to an otherwise harmless play.
As in my previous works, I like to weave a tale that will blur the boundaries between fiction and fact, reality against fantasy in order to present situations of human interaction and tackle social taboos as well.
